Alleviate Your Stress
Eating right and exercising regularly aren't the only ways to manage your high blood sugar. Stress can also play a big role in keeping your blood sugar low. Living a stressful lifestyle can also inadvertently affect different areas of your eyes, including your eyelids.
Eye twitching is one problem you might face if you experience high levels of stress. The condition can last for a few hours, or it can linger for much longer. The twitching, or spasms, can occur in the muscles of the upper and lower eyelids. You can keep eye twitching at bay and stress down by taking a nap in the afternoon or by signing up for relaxing yoga classes several times a week. If possible, gently massage the tissues around your eyes with your fingertips every night.

Eyestrain can make your eyes feel tired, or it can blur or distort your vision. Retinal migraines can be potentially painful and disruptive to your daily living.
You can help prevent eyestrain or ease your migraines by resting your eyes regularly. You can do so by adverting your eyes from your computer or electronic device's screen every 20 minutes. Keep your eyes adverted away from the screen for at least 20 seconds. If possible, set a timer on your device to remind you to advert or rest your eyes at the correct time.
